WHEREAS, Israel was attacked on October 7, 2023, by Hamas, a recognized terrorist organization;

WHEREAS, The resulting casualties were over 1,100, including women and children with women being raped and infants beheaded;

WHEREAS, Many Israelis and citizens of the United States and other countries were killed and taken as hostages;

WHEREAS, Hostages who have not been murdered by their Hamas captors to this date are still held captive, including US hostages;

WHEREAS, Hamas, in acts of defiance, posted videos of their torturous actions on social media; and 

RESOLVED, That the Nevada Federation of Republican Women, condemns the savage and horrific violence of the Hamas organization against unsuspecting Israelis, US citizens and citizens of other countries in Israel on October 7, 2023; and

RESOLVED, That the Nevada Federation of Republican Women unequivocally stands firmly and in strongest terms fully supports, the United States' ally Israel in defending its people and its land against the inhumane and unprovoked attacks by the Hamas Organization and in freeing from Hamas captors the remaining hostages taken on October 7, 2023.
